Where did the name Powerkraut come from?

The name Powerkraut was born when Adrienne was teaching kindergarten, where warm organic meals were created every day. On Wednesdays the children ate cooked lentils, carrots, kale, millet with honey, and sauerkraut. She was surprised to discover how much 4, 5, and 6 year olds love sauerkraut!

Asking for seconds was normal, but one day one of the children asked,” Miss Adrienne, may I please have some more Powerkraut, I mean sauerkraut? Oh, yeah…..Powerkraut! And as he exclaimed this new name, he flexed his tiny arm like Popeye the Sailor Man and repeated, “Powerkraut!” All the other kids quickly joined the excitement. Because there was so much joy and laughter, Adrienne easily agreed with the children to forever call her kraut Powerkraut.
